Mr Nicola de Liguori Carino MD came highly recommended by a family friend.
Living in Yorkshire we decided we would travel the extra miles and we have been delighted with every aspect of Mr de Liguori's care.
At the initial consultation my husband and I were both very apprehensive as I had been diagnosed with a large liver cyst and ?? gallstones.
Through Mr de liguori's experience and expertise he left us feeling positive about the situation after our first consultation.
Tests were quickly put into place and procedures were all fully explained consultations never hurried and always asked if we had any questions ourselves.
Surgery followed with a Cholecystectomy and a resection of the liver cyst.
What I found amazing was the fact I have only two very small incisions so neat it's unbelievable.
Mr de Liguori I would highly recommend to anyone in every aspect of his care he is a gentleman and true professional.

On initial consultation the doctor took time to listen to my concerns, he then performed a comprehensive examination. He then explained the benefits and risks involved and the types of surgery available and also the option of no surgery. At no time did I feel under pressure to take a particular option. Following my operation Mr De' Liguori Carino visited my room prior to my discharge to explain how he thought the operation had gone and to explain what I should do in following my discharge and how to contact him is I had any concerns. I would happily recommend this doctor.

Mr Nicola de’ Liguori Carino is Consultant General Surgeon who specialises in hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) surgery .
His main interests are in disease of the liver, gallbladder, biliary system and pancreas. He also has an extensive practice in hernias repairs. He completed his surgical training in Italy with a period spent at the Ohio University Hospital, Columbus, USA. Before being appointed as a Consultant in Manchester, Mr de' Liguori Carino spent 4 years training in HPB and transplant surgery at the University of Liverpool and Leeds. His Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Unit at Manchester Royal Infirmary, University of Manchester, is one of the largest HPB unit's in the UK and Europe.
He has experience in the treatment of gallstone disease with the most modern techniques with emphasis on rapid access to treatment and recovery. Mr de' Liguori Carino performs laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic and open hepatobiliary(liver) , pancreatic and digestive surgery, including very complex liver, biliary and pancreatic resection. He also treats a consistent number of hernia cases with both laparoscopic and open approach.
